![]() ![]() Then in the case of the CPU_FAN I'm not even sure if that's the pump speed or fan speed.Īny help appreciated. It just feels weird to have a motherboard with 8 fan connection points, 6 of which read 0 ram. Should I abandon the case Fan header and use the CHA_FAN1A? The button isn't causing me hardship. The other 6 fans (front case and radiators) are reacting both to load *and* the fan header toggle on the top of the case.ġ) What utility will show me the principal temperatures, voltages and RPMs like PC Probe used to? I'd like widgets or gadgets which are dockable and can be set always on top if needed.Ģ) I really don't understand how these radiator fans and front case fans are reacting, except it must be via the CPU_FAN connector as it's the only motherboard connection (aside from the USB from the water pump). Only CHA_FAN3A is reacting separately (rear case fan) and us adjusting to the standard template. But the Corsair 780T also has a case fan toggle (3 speed) which is altering the radiator fans and dual 140mm case fans. One complication is the h100i gtx is in push/pull (so 4 fans) connected to the CPU_FAN connector. I can hear everything throttling appropriately. So I in installed it and now have better control with qfan and fan xpert. It also kept shutting off the GPU fans entirely even when they were in the 60's. It was running fans at 100% ceaselessly regardless of profile. The computer came with a corsair h100i gtx and thus Corsair Link, which is a steaming pile of ****e. Aa an experiment I checked those numbers against BIOS AND OCCT. But I have to squint and it's not overt if any of the numbers are overtly alarming. If I delve into AI.Suite fan expert I can squint and see some stuff.Īlso using OpenHardware Monitor I have all the data I could ever need. The R5E is a much more refined product and I see it doesn't have a specific probe utility (I assume the download Probe 2 Sense Driver doesn't appear to be doing anything). RPMs raised with heat and any PSU hiccups would be obvious via obnoxious audio alarm. On my old motherboard I had the PC Probe which gave the principal temperatures, voltages and RPMs which I kept overlayed on a second monitor. I'm struggling to get my head around some of the utilities and need help. I've just upgraded from a P6X58D Premium which I built around 2010 to a new R5E.
